What is AURO Hartwachs No. 171?

AURO Hartwachs No. 171 is a 100% natural hard wax made from beeswax and carnauba wax, providing durable and natural protection for wood. The wax does not seal the wood’s pores, allowing it to "breathe" while creating a silky matte, pleasantly smooth finish.

How to apply it properly?

For untreated wooden surfaces, we recommend first applying AURO PurSolid Hard Oil 123 to enhance protection before applying AURO wax.

1. Preparation:
   • The surface must be clean, dry, and free from grease and dirt.
   • If necessary, lightly sand the surface to improve wax absorption.
2. Application:
   • Apply a thin layer with a cloth or polishing machine and spread evenly.
   • Hot application method – optimal temperature 80–82°C, using a specialized wax gun.
3. Polishing:
   • Within 1–2 hours (before fully drying), polish with a soft cloth, polishing brush, or machine.

• Average coverage: 0.01 L/m²
• Coverage may vary depending on surface absorbency and application method. We recommend testing on a small area for precise results.

Safety and Storage

• ⚠ Wax-soaked cloths can self-ignite if not stored properly.
• ⚠ Always immerse used cloths in water or burn them immediately after use.

📦 Storage

• Expiration date: 24 months (at 18°C).
• Store in the original, tightly sealed container in a dry place.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Surface Cleaning and Maintenance

• For daily cleaning, use warm water and avoid aggressive cleaners with a high pH level.
• For washing, we recommend using linseed oil liquid soap.
• After several years, we recommend renewing the protective layer with the same wax.
