What is AURO PurSolid Hard Oil 123?
AURO PurSolid Hard Oil 123 is a 100% natural hard oil made from a blend of plant-based oils (tung oil, linseed oil, sunflower oil, etc.) without any added solvents. It deeply penetrates the wood fibers, creating a durable, wear-resistant layer that protects the surface from moisture and dirt. The oil does not seal the wood’s pores, allowing it to "breathe" while giving it a warm honey tone and preserving its natural texture.
Why choose AURO Hard Oil?
- Wear-resistant and moisture-repellent – ideal for wooden floors, parquet, windowsills, tabletops, and furniture.
- Free from solvents and synthetic additives – contains no petroleum-based products, isoparaffins, or chemical hardeners.
- Safe for children and food contact – compliant with German DIN EN 71-3 and food contact material standards.
- Widely used in historic wooden floor restoration due to its natural composition and excellent protection.
🚫 Does not contain synthetic waxes or polyurethane additives – ensuring no "film" effect and allowing wood to regulate moisture naturally.
How to apply it properly?
- Preparation:
- The wooden surface must be clean, dry, and sanded with 120–150 grit sandpaper.
- Any old lacquer or synthetic coatings must be completely removed.
- Application:
- First coat: Apply a thin layer using a brush, felt roller, or cloth.
- After 20–30 minutes, wipe off excess oil with a dry cloth.
- Second coat (after 24 hours): Apply a thin layer using a cloth or polishing pad.
- Drying time:
- Approximately 24 hours at +20°C and 65% relative humidity.
- Fully hardened in 2-4 weeks (avoid heavy use or moisture exposure during this period).
Coverage
- Oak, ash, maple → up to 50 m²
- Birch, pine, spruce, OSB boards → approximately 25 m²
- Alder, cherry, veneered or thermally treated woods → approximately 20 m²
Safety and Storage
- ⚠ Oil-soaked cloths can self-ignite if not stored properly.
- ⚠ Always immerse used cloths in water or burn them immediately after use.
📦 Storage
- Expiration date: 24 months (at 18°C).
- Store in the original, tightly sealed container in a dry place.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Surface Cleaning and Maintenance
- For daily cleaning, use warm water, avoiding harsh detergents.
- For washing and additional protection, we recommend using linseed oil liquid soap.
