Description
Dana Lim linseed oil putty is made from a mixture of linseed oil and chalk, containing no chemical additives.
What is Linseed Oil Putty?
Linseed oil putty is an eco-friendly, natural filler made from raw materials, intended for filling small wood defects and cracks, as well as sealing window glass. Suitable for both interior and exterior use.
Usage
Filling cracks. Apply the putty to a clean, dry surface and smooth it out with a putty knife, ensuring it fills and covers any surface defects or cracks. Linseed oil putty can be painted with linseed oil paint immediately after application.
Sealing window glass. Before filling window grooves with linseed oil putty, coat them with shellac (a clear lacquer). Once the lacquer is dry, apply a thin, even layer of putty to the inside edge of the groove (the edge that will press against the glass) and carefully place the glass in position. Remove any excess putty. Secure the window glass with small, headless nails, then apply and smooth putty along the perimeter of the window with a putty knife. Linseed oil putty can be painted with linseed oil paint immediately after application.
Storage
After opening, store in a cool place in a sealed container. Allow the putty to warm to room temperature before reuse.
